39. en Dawid het Saul se swaard bo-oor sy uitrusting vasgegord. Maar hy kon nie loop nie, want hy was dit nie gewoond nie. Dawid sê toe vir Saul: "Ek kan nie hiermee loop nie, want ek is dit nie gewoond nie." En Dawid het dit uitgetrek.
