39. Toe Dawid hoor dat Nabal dood is, het hy gesê: "Geloof sy die Here wat my regsaak behartig het oor die onreg wat Nabal my aangedoen het, en my van kwaad weerhou het. Die Here het Nabal se kwaad op sy eie kop laat afkom." Daarna het Dawid gestuur en met Abigajil laat praat om haar as vrou vir hom te neem.
