21. Terwyl hy dan sy twee hande op die kop van die bok lê, moet hy ál die oortredinge en opstandigheid, al die sondes van die Israeliete daar bo-oor die bok bely. Sodoende sal hy die sonde op die kop van die bok oordra. Iemand wat beskikbaar is, moet dan die bok die woestyn injaag.
