16. Toe Herodes agterkom dat die sterrekykers hom in die steek gelaat het, het hy woedend geword. Hy stuur toe soldate en laat in Betlehem en die hele omgewing al die seuntjies van twee jaar en jonger doodmaak, ooreenkomstig die tyd wat hy noukeurig by die sterrekykers uitgevra het.
