1. Vir die koorleier. 'n Psalm van Dawid.
  
2. Hoe lank gaan U my nog bly vergeet, Here? Vir altyd? Hoe lank gaan U nog van my af weg kyk?
  
3. Hoe lank moet ek nog my eie planne maak en my dae met kommer deurbring? Hoe lank sal die vyand my nog oorheers?
  
4. Luister tog en antwoord my, Here my God! Gee my tog nuwe lewenskrag. Ek wil nie sterwe nie,
  
5. anders sê my vyand hy het my oorwin en juig my verdrukkers oor my ondergang.
  
6. Ek hou vas aan u troue liefde, oor die uitkoms wat U gee, juig my hart. Ek wil sing tot eer van die Here, omdat Hy aan my goed gedoen het. Vir die koorleier. Van Dawid.
