3. Toe Dawid in sy huis in Jerusalem kom, het die koning die tien vroue, die byvroue wat hy laat agterbly het om die huis op te pas, geneem en in 'n bewaakte huis gesit en hulle onderhou, maar nie by hulle ingegaan nie; en hulle was opgesluit tot die dag van hulle dood as lewenslange weduwees.
