9. Ashabi iu përgjigj pastaj lajmëtarëve të Ben-Hadadit: "I thoni mbretit, zotit time: "Të gjitha gjërat që i kërkove shërbëtorit tënd herën e parë do t'i bëj, por këtë nuk mund ta bëj"". Kështu lajmëtarët shkuan t'i njoftojnë përgjigjen Ben-Hadadit.
