23. U ofroi flijime perëndive të Damaskut që e kishin mundur, duke thënë: "Me qenë se perënditë e mbretit të Sirisë i ndihmojnë ata, unë do t'i ofroj atyre flijime që të më ndimojnë edhe mua". Por qenë pikërisht ata që shkaktuan shkatërrimin e tij dhe atë të të gjithë Izraelit.
