32. Absalomi iu përgjigj Joabit: "Unë të kisha dërguar fjalë: "Eja këtu, që të kem mundësi të të dërgoj te mbreti për t'i thënë: Pse jam kthyer nga Geshuri? Do të kishte qenë më mirë për mua të kisha mbetur atje". Tani më lejo të shoh fytyrën e mbretit. Në rast se tek unë ka ndonjë paudhësi, ai të shkaktojë vdekjen time".
