17. И царят заповяда на стражата, която стоеше около него: Обърнете се та убийте Господните свещеници, понеже и тяхната ръка е с Давида, и понеже са знаели, че той бягал, а не ми известиха. Но царевите слуги отказаха да дигнат ръцете си, за да нападнат Господните свещеници.
