12. 他们就来到王面前，提起王的禁令，说：“你岂不是签署了禁令，无论何人，在三十天内，王啊！除了向你以外，若向任何神或任何人求什么，就必扔在狮子坑中？”王回答说：“确有此事。按照玛代和波斯的律法，这样的禁令是不能废除的。”
