1. Když vycházel Izrael z Egypta, a rodina Jákobova z národu jazyka cizího,
  
2. Byl Juda posvěcením jeho, Izrael panováním jeho.
  
3. To když vidělo moře, uteklo, Jordán nazpět se obrátil.
  
4. Hory poskakovaly jako skopci, pahrbkové jako jehňata.
  
5. Coť bylo, ó moře, že jsi utíkalo? Jordáne, že jsi nazpět se obrátil?
  
6. Ó hory, že jste poskakovaly jako skopci, pahrbkové jako jehňata?
  
7. Pro přítomnost Panovníka třásla jsem se já země, pro přítomnost Boha Jákobova,
  
8. Kterýž obrací i tu skálu v jezero vod, a škřemen v studnici vod.
