10. Amasa však přitom nedal pozor na meč v Jóabově ruce. Ten ho bodl pod žebra, takže mu vnitřnosti vyhřezly na zem; aniž mu dal druhou ránu, zemřel. Pak Jóab a jeho bratr Abíšaj pronásledovali Šebu, syna Bichrího.
