38. Potom požádal Piláta Josef z Arimatie - byl to Ježíšův učedník, ale tajný, protože se bál Židů - aby směl Ježíšovo tělo sejmout z kříže. Když Pilát k tomu dal souhlas, Josef šel a tělo sňal.
