28. Jeho nejstarší bratr Elíab však slyšel, jak mluvil s muži. Elíab vzplanul proti Davidovi hněvem a okřikl ho: "Proč jsi sem přišel? Komu jsi nechal ten houfeček ovcí na stepi? Však znám tvou drzost i tvé zlé srdce! Přišel jsi sem dolů, aby ses mohl dívat na bitvu."
