1. Jozue, syn Núnův, vyslal potají ze Šitímu dva muže jako zvědy. Řekl: "Jděte, prohlédněte tu zemi i Jericho." Šli tedy a vstoupili do domu jedné ženy jménem Rachab, nevěstky, a tam přespali.
