31. Kněz Pinchas, syn Eleazarův, pak Rubenovým, Gádovým a Manasesovým synům odpověděl: "Dnes jsme poznali, že Hospodin je mezi námi. Žádnou zradu proti Hospodinu jste nespáchali. Uchovali jste syny Izraele před Hospodinovým trestem."
