8. Když jsi poznal, že je ti v srdci věrný, uzavřel jsi s ním smlouvu o zemi Kananejců, Chetejců, Emorejců, Perizejců, Jebusejců a Girgašejců a sice, že tu zemi dáš jeho semeni. A své slovo jsi splnil, neboť jsi spravedlivý.
