21. Rehabeam aber, der Sohn Salomos, regierte in Juda. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam, als er König ward, und regierte siebzehn Jahre lang zu Jerusalem, in der Stadt, die der HERR aus allen Stämmen Israels erwählt hatte, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen. Und seine Mutter hieß Naama, eine Ammoniterin.
