21. Und Abner sprach zu David: Ich will mich aufmachen und hingehen und ganz Israel zu meinem Herrn, dem König, versammeln, daß sie einen Bund mit dir machen und du König seiest, nach deines Herzens Lust. Also entließ David Abner, und er ging in Frieden hin.
