29. Und er ließ den König zu Ai an einen Baum hängen bis an den Abend. Als aber die Sonne untergegangen war, gebot Josua, daß man seinen Leichnam vom Baume herabnehme; da warfen sie ihn unter das Tor der Stadt und errichteten über ihm einen großen Steinhaufen, der noch daselbst ist bis auf diesen Tag.
