24. Sie antworteten Josua und sprachen: Es ist deinen Knechten als gewiß angezeigt worden, daß der HERR, dein Gott, Mose, seinem Knechte, geboten hat, euch das ganze Land zu geben und alle Einwohner des Landes vor euch her zu vertilgen; da fürchteten wir uns unseres Lebens halber sehr vor euch und haben darum solches getan.
