24. Und Gideon hatte Boten auf das ganze Gebirge Ephraim gesandt und sagen lassen: Kommet herab, den Midianitern entgegen, und besetzet vor ihnen das Wasser bis gen Beth-Bara, nämlich den Jordan! Da wurden alle Männer von Ephraim aufgeboten und gewannen vor ihnen das Wasser bis gen Beth-Bara und besetzten den Jordan.
