21. und als Makkabäus die Feinde sah und ihre vielfältige Rüstung und die schrecklichen Tiere, streckte er seine Hände zum Himmel empor und betete zum Herrn, der Wunder tut; denn er wußte wohl, daß der Sieg nicht durch Waffen kommt, sondern Gott ihn denen gibt, die er würdig findet.
