34. Daher nahm Menelaus den Andronikus beiseite und forderte ihn auf, Hand an Onias zu legen. Der ging zu Onias, beredete ihn mit List, gab ihm Handschlag und Eid, und obwohl Onias Verdacht hegte, überredete Andronikus ihn, aus der Freistatt herauszukommen. Dann aber brachte er ihn sogleich um ohne alle Scheu vor dem Recht.
