Denn als er in Persepolis eingerückt war und den Tempel zu plündern und die Stadt fest in die Hand zu bekommen versuchte, machten sich die Einwohner in Scharen auf und suchten Hilfe bei den Waffen; so kam es, daß Antiochus von ihnen zurückgeschlagen wurde und mit Schimpf und Schande abziehen mußte.
