12. Als man nun zwanzig Tage die Quellen bewacht hatte, hatten alle Bewohner von Betulia kein Wasser mehr, weder in Zisternen noch anderswo, so daß es nicht mehr ausreichte, um auch nur einen Tag den Durst richtig zu stillen; denn man hatte ja täglich den Leuten das Wasser zugemessen.
