17. Ein Mensch kann ja nicht einmal einen Gott machen, der wenigstens einem lebendigen Menschen gleich ist; sondern weil er sterblich ist, schafft er nur etwas Lebloses mit seinen ruchlosen Händen. Denn er selbst ist ja besser als das, was er verehrt; denn er lebt doch, jenes aber nie.
