32. Und Absalom sprach zu Joab: Siehe, ich habe zu dir gesandt und dir sagen lassen: Komm her, daß ich dich zu dem König sende, um ihm zu sagen: Warum bin ich von Gesur gekommen? Besser wäre mir, ich wäre noch dort. Und nun möchte ich das Angesicht des Königs sehen; und wenn eine Ungerechtigkeit an mir ist, so töte er mich!
