1. Ein Stufenlied. Aus den Tiefen rufe ich zu dir, Jehova!
  
2. Herr, höre auf meine Stimme! Laß deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens!
  
3. Wenn du, Jehova, merkst auf die Ungerechtigkeiten: Herr, wer wird bestehen?
  
4. Doch bei dir ist Vergebung, damit du gefürchtet werdest.
  
5. Ich warte auf Jehova, meine Seele wartet; und auf sein Wort harre ich.
  
6. Meine Seele harrt auf den Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, die Wächter auf den Morgen.
  
7. Harre, Israel, auf Jehova! Denn bei Jehova ist die Güte, und viel Erlösung bei ihm.
  
8. Und er, er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Ungerechtigkeiten.
