Und Josua schwur (Eig. beschwor, d. h. verpflichtete das Volk durch einen Eid) in selbiger Zeit und sprach: Verflucht vor Jehova sei der Mann, der sich aufmachen und diese Stadt Jericho bauen wird! Mit seinem (O. Um den Preis seines) Erstgeborenen wird er ihren Grund legen und mit seinem (O. Um den Preis seines) Jüngsten ihre Tore aufstellen. - (Vergl. 1. Kön. 16,34)
