17. Und David sprach zu Gott: Habe nicht [ich] gesagt, daß man das Volk zählen soll? Ich bin es, der gesündigt und sehr böse gehandelt hat. Was haben aber diese Schafe getan? HERR, mein Gott, laß doch deine Hand gegen mich und das Haus meines Vaters gerichtet sein, und nicht gegen dein Volk zur Plage!
