Es geschah aber, als Adoni-Zedek, der König von Jerusalem, hörte, daß Josua Ai erobert und an ihm den Bann vollstreckt hatte, und daß er es mit Ai samt seinem König ebenso gemacht hatte, wie mit Jericho und seinem König, und daß die Einwohner von Gibeon mit Israel Frieden gemacht hatten und in ihrer Mitte wohnten,
