40. So schlug Josua das ganze Land, das Bergland und den Negev und die Schephela und die Abhänge, samt allen ihren Königen; und er ließ nicht einen übrigbleiben, der entkommen wäre; und er vollstreckte den Bann an allem, was Odem hatte, wie es der HERR, der Gott Israels, geboten hatte.
