2. Dabei erhob sich König David und sagte: Hört mich an, meine Brüder und mein Volk! Ich selbst hatte vor, für die Bundeslade des Herrn, den Fußschemel unseres Gottes, eine Ruhestätte zu errichten, und traf Vorbereitungen für den Bau.
