47. Simeon ließ sich erweichen und stellte den Kampf ein. Er vertrieb sie jedoch aus der Stadt und ließ die Häuser, in denen Götterbilder waren, entsühnen; dann zog er feierlich mit Lobliedern und Preisgesängen in die Stadt ein.
