45. Aber das Volk sagte zu Saul: Soll Jonatan sterben, der so viel für die Rettung Israels getan hat? Das darf nicht sein! So wahr der Herr lebt: Ihm soll kein Haar gekrümmt werden. Denn nur mit Gottes Hilfe hat er heute diese Tat vollbracht. So befreite das Volk Jonatan, und er brauchte nicht zu sterben.
