12. Am nächsten Morgen machte sich Samuel auf den Weg und ging Saul entgegen. Man hatte Samuel mitgeteilt: Saul ist nach Karmel gekommen und hat sich (dort) ein Denkmal errichtet; dann ist er umgekehrt und nach Gilgal hinab weitergezogen.
