5. führte Krieg mit dem König der Ammoniter und besiegte ihn. Die Ammoniter mußten ihm in jenem Jahr hundert Talente Silber, zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste abliefern. Die gleiche Abgabe leisteten sie auch im zweiten und dritten Jahr.
