23. Doch der Herr war seinem Volk gnädig und hatte Erbarmen mit ihm. Wegen seines Bundes mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob wandte er sich ihm wieder zu. Er wollte es nicht verderben und hatte es bis dahin nicht von seinem Angesicht verstoßen.
