12. Als er seine Opfer darbrachte, ließ Abschalom auch den Giloniter Ahitofel, den Berater Davids, aus seiner Heimatstadt Gilo kommen. So wurde die Verschwörung immer größer, und immer mehr Leute schlossen sich Abschalom an.
