25. Abschalom hatte Amasa anstelle Joabs an die Spitze des Heeres gestellt. Amasa war der Sohn eines Ismaeliters namens Jeter und der Abigal, die eine Tochter des Nahasch und eine Schwester von Joabs Mutter Zeruja war.
