27. Als Abner nach Hebron zurückkehrte, führte ihn Joab beiseite in das Innere des Tores, als wolle er ungestört mit ihm reden. Dort stach er ihn, um Blutrache für seinen Bruder Asaël zu nehmen, in den Bauch, so daß er starb.
