18. Aber die Israeliten erschlugen die Einwohner nicht, weil die Vorsteher der Gemeinde ihnen beim Herrn, dem Gott Israels, einen Eid geleistet hatten. Doch die ganze Gemeinde war empört über die Vorsteher.
