49. Da hieben auch alle seine Leute einen Busch ab und zogen hinter Abimelech her. Sie legten die Zweige auf das Gewölbe und zündeten sie an und steckten das Gewölbe über der Besatzung in Brand. So kam auch die ganze Besatzung der Burg von Sichem um, etwa tausend Männer und Frauen.
