4. Inzwischen hatte sich die ganze Gesellschaft entfernt, und es befand sich kein Mensch mehr im Schlafgemach des Holofernes. Judit trat an das Lager des Holofernes und betete still: Herr, du Gott aller Macht, sieh in dieser Stunde gnädig auf das, was meine Hände zur Verherrlichung Jerusalems tun werden.
