1. Ein Stufenlied. Von David. Jehova! Nicht hoch ist mein Herz, noch tragen sich hoch meine Augen; und ich wandle nicht in Dingen, die zu groß und zu wunderbar für mich sind.
  
2. Habe ich meine Seele nicht beschwichtigt und gestillt? Gleich einem entwöhnten Kinde bei seiner Mutter, gleich dem entwöhnten Kinde ist meine Seele in mir.
  
3. Harre, Israel, auf Jehova, von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
