17. Kui Taavetile sellest teatati, siis ta kogus kokku terve Iisraeli ja läks üle Jordani; ja olles jõudnud nende juurde, seadis ta ennast valmis tapluseks nende vastu. Ja kui Taavet oli enese valmis seadnud tapluseks süürlaste vastu, siis sõdisid need temaga.
