9. Siis ta otsis Ahasjat; too võeti kinni Samaarias, kus ta ennast varjas. Ta viidi Jehu juurde ja surmati. Ja ta maeti maha, sest nad ütlesid: 'Tema on selle Joosafati pojapoeg, kes otsis Issandat kõigest oma südamest.' Ja Ahasja sool ei olnud kedagi, kes oleks suutnud valitseda.
