13. Sellepärast süüdistasid teda õukondlased Eupatori ees ja sageli sõimati teda äraandjaks, sest ta oli maha jätnud Küprose, mille Filomeetor oli tema hooleks usaldanud, ja oli üle läinud Antiohhos Epifanese juurde. Kuna ta oma kõrget ametit ei suutnud ausasti pidada, siis lõpetas ta oma elu ennast mürgitades.
